Kinder is proud of our partnership with the Institute of Quarrying Australia (IQA) and together share in the values of embracing upskilling, networking and continuous professional development.
In conjunction with the IQA Young Members Networking event, Sean Kinder, Kinder Business Development Manager recently lead IQA’s newest recruits through Kinders Braeside premises. The tour provided an exclusive opportunity for the group, primarily from a maintenance, engineering and administrative background to get an insider’s view of the intricacies and productivity aspects of Kinder’s warehouse operations.
Due to unprecedented company growth, the warehouse facility has recently expanded and now boosts more than 15,000+ stock items available, with the capacity to service the bulk materials needs of customers, particularly quarries in Australia and globally.
The session concluded at Kinder’s new interactive showroom where the group was able to actively engage in a workshop style presentation and training by Sean, Charles Pratt, Operations Manager and Jack Cain, Mechanical Engineer. Topics of discussion included dust control, safety, engineering capabilities as well as demonstrations of Kinder’s innovative engineered solutions that have been successfully installed and designed to suit quarrying environments.
The highlight on the day included a “installation challenge”, with a few young members testing their skill on the K-Sure® Belt Support System, on the demonstration trailer, conveyor rollers were taken off, adaptors and slider rails were added to the brackets. Well done everyone, overall, a fantastic and fun-filled day was had by all!
For many years Kinder has supported the IQA through sponsorship of the Health and Safety conferences throughout Australia, Victorian Branch Student Presentation Award nights as well as joint training webinars on industry specific topics. Kinder would like to extend a big thank you to the IQA for this unique opportunity to be part of this networking event and to showcase Kinder as a trusted partner in the supply of high quality and reliable bulk materials handling solutions.
“Our association with the IQA is very important, Kinder stands united in our efforts in educating members and future leaders of the quarrying and extractive industry”, says Christine Kinder, Marketing Manager at Kinder.
