Kinder Australia is proud of our association with the Institute of Quarrying Australia and our participation in this year’s IQA National Conference, Geelong – 1st – 3rd October 2019.

Peter Laskey and Tim Storer, Field Applications Specialist will be representing Kinder at this event, drop by for discussions on Kinder’s range of comprehensive conveyor componentry solutions that address the evolving nature and our answers to the key concerns faced by today’s quarry operations.
We would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Peter Laskey’s nomination for this year’s IQA Supplier of Year in recognition of his achievements within the Quarrying/Extractive industry to date.
In the last 12 months alone Peter’s scope of work has seen him proactively visit over 100 customer sites, with the majority falling within the quarrying and extractive industries. In his highly challenging and rewarding Field Application Specialist role, Peter is delighted to report “the best part of the role is without a doubt recommending solutions to my customers everyday conveyor problems, bringing value to their business, exceeding product expectations and seeing positive immediate results”.
A highly resourceful and driven individual Peter upholds professionalism in his chosen field and continues to impart quarry industry knowledge and support the IQA’s vision and code of conduct through a variety of avenues and training events. A few of Peter’s contributions include:
- Presentation at five Boral/Kinder Australia Technical Training Days, training topics covered Material Spillage Control/Conveyor Belt Tracking and Dust Management, with positive training surveys received from attendees.
- Developed numerous customer case studies in conjunction with IQA member sites. These case studies focus on Dust Control, Spillage/Transfer Point Optimisation and Productivity/Safety Improvements.
- Continuing to spread his customer success stories so that customers with similar applications and problems can benefit from Kinder’s comprehensive conveyor solutions range and experience in this field.
Peter receives regular invitations to identify, assess and resolve his quarry customers multitude of productivity and safety challenges presented on-site. On many occasions Peter has gone on-site with our International Collaboration Supplier/Manufacturing Partners (Kinder’s range of Exclusive Conveyor Skirting and Transfer, Anti-Wear Liner Products and Conveyor Belt Covers) to observe and discuss the ongoing issues they face, acting as a “bridge and putting the customer first’, is a mantra Peter follows. Informed and better information exchange between Supplier and Customer, Peter sees this as ultimately paving the way for the development and design of innovative solutions that exceeds customer expectations in terms of product performance, reliability and safety.
