QME kicked off in Mackay yesterday, with the QLD deputy premier Jeff Seeney opening the 3 day event and the press reporting that hundreds of guests went through the gates in the first couple of hours. Since the first QME in 1993, this biennial event has grown to be the leading industrial exhibition in central Queensland.
Stand B192 is where Kinder & Co are exhibiting, showcasing a number of new generation conveyor-related materials handling products including K-Superline® Lining System, K-Superskirt® Engineered Polyurethane skirting, the range of K-Redi-Liners, K-Snap-Loc Dust Seal System as well as the Eraser Primary Belt Cleaner.
“It’s a great opportunity to reconnect with customers,” said co-owner Christine Kinder on the stand in relation to the strong number of visitors seen during Day One yesterday.
CEO Neil Kinder added, “due to the current state of the industry and the knock-on effect of tightening labour budgets, visitors to our stand are generally interested in products that require less manpower to install and maintain, or products that offer greater efficiency in their functionality. K-Snap-Loc is generating a lot of interest – its unique design means that installation is quick and simple because it snaps into place on to most conveyor systems. The polyurethane’s inherent “memory-set” is used to apply downward pressure onto the belt’s surface to create a fine tight seal, so there is no need for manual adjustment.”
